Cotopaxi makes outdoor gear in colors that do not blend in. Packs, rain shells, insulated layers, hiking shorts and sun shirts. The range includes products made with recycled fabrics and leftover materials, and the Del Día line in particular is built from remnant fabric, so its colorways vary from piece to piece. The brand’s Summer Send Off Sale is live on cotopaxi-com as of September 22, 2026, with the banner advertising up to 40% off.
On the first page of the men’s sale, most of the tags I saw read 40%. Brinco shorts, $70 to $42. Trail To Sea sweatshirt, $80 to $48. Pacaya Lite hooded jacket, $120 to $72, with the women’s version at the same price. The Ambato short sat at 36%.
Up to 40% is the advertised ceiling, and a good share of what I checked was sitting at it. That is not a storewide rate, and other categories may land lower, but it is more consistent than most “up to” sales manage.

What The Sale Covers
Cotopaxi’s own sale page lists jackets, fleece, backpacks, travel bags, hoodies and accessories under the promotion. Apparel is where the tags I checked were deepest. Shorts, tees, sun shirts, crew sweatshirts and hooded jackets from the summer line.
Outerwear is in it as well. Rain shells, windbreakers and the lighter insulated layers. The Women’s Pacaya 2.0 Insulated Jacket was at $129 when I checked. Recycled shell, recycled insulation, packs into its own pocket, and it is the piece to look at if you want one layer that works from now through November.
Packs and travel gear round it out. Duffels, day packs, hip bags and the shoulder bags Cotopaxi is known for.
Deeper Than 40% On Some Items
The headline is 40%, but individual listings go further.
The women’s sale page carries a second line under the main banner: up to 50% on past season packs, apparel and more. Some individual product pages show discounts of around 60%, even though Cotopaxi’s advertised number stays at 40. Those deeper cuts sit on specific products and colors rather than across a category, so they have to be found one listing at a time.
If you see a pack or a jacket at 50% or more in a color you like, check the size availability straight away. Past season stock does not restock.
No End Date Is Listed, Grab It Before It Expires!
Cotopaxi has not posted an expiry for the Summer Send Off Sale on its sale page or its current promotions page.
That cuts both ways. There is no deadline to work to, so there is time to think. It also means the sale can come down whenever Cotopaxi decides, with no warning. I would not assume next week looks like this week.
One offer that is finished: the Labor Day gift with purchase ended September 7. If you see it referenced anywhere, it is stale.

Free economy shipping applies to eligible orders of $99 or more before tax, subject to address restrictions.
Returns on direct orders run 30 days from purchase, with a return label fee of around $6 deducted from the refund on mail returns. Final sale items are excluded, so check the product page for that marking before you buy.
Signing up for email and SMS gets 20% off one eligible full price item in your first order. Sale items are excluded, so it is a separate decision for something not in the markdown.
What To Do With It
Pick the category you need and check the product pages in it. The tags I saw were consistent enough that there is no clever move, but the discount is set per item, not per category.
Then look at the past season listings before you check out. If the thing you want is there at 50% or better in a color and size you can live with, that is the one to buy, because past season means it is not coming back.
