Lamborghini Urus Review – Price, Engine & Technology

Nowadays, performance SUVs are getting more popular every day, like the Audi RS Q8, Aston Martin DBX and the Bentley Bentayga. Trends in driving SUVs are increasing as compared to the past.

So, Why not a Lamborghini with a performance like the Aventador and the Huracan and can carry more than two passengers and your bigger luggage at the same time? To answer that question Lamborghini has introduced the Urus. An SUV that packs 641 horsepower from a V8 twin-turbocharged engine with a top speed of 305 km/h and will accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds.

The Idea of the Lamborghini Urus is that you can enjoy a staggering performance like the Aventador and the Huracan. Still, you also get to enjoy your ride with up to five passengers with a decent cargo space that you can actually benefit from. Fear not, this is still a Lamborghini, even though it is bulky and big it is still fast and agile around the track like any other supercar. Being a Lamborghini, you cannot mistake the Urus from afar as Lamborghini has made sure to give it the Italian dazzle that a Lamborghini always has.

Lamborghini Urus: Engine and Performance

The Lamborghini Urus is powered by a 4.0-Liter twin-turbo V8 that whoops out 641 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. Paired with an 8-speed Automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel drive, it gives the Lamborghini Urus as much grip and agility to corner at a fast speed. This Italian beast will reach a top speed of 305 km/h and will accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds.

With all that impressive power, the Lamborghini Urus will surprise you with it’s precise cornering and accurate steering. The engine is extremely responsive, as soon as you kick that paddle it will give you the power you demand. The Lamborghini Urus has air springs on all four ends, which will allow the car to adjust it’s height in accordance with the selected driving modes. Carbon-ceramic brakes are installed as standard to make sure you brake safely no matter what speed you hit.

Lamborghini Urus: Interior and Comfort

You might notice that the Lamborghini Urus has many similarities with the Audi RS Q8, but that should come as no surprise because the Lamborghini Urus actually shares a lot of it’s parts with the Audi RS Q8 and the Bentley Bentayga as well. Getting inside this big beast should be easy for most people, as there is plenty of headroom and legroom on the front seats. The first thing you will notice when setting in is the jet-fighter-like design, with the shift paddles looking like jet throttle and the start button placed under a red cover.

The central entertainment display is separated in two; the upper display controls most of the features (navigation and sound, for instance) and the base is for the climate controls. The touch-sensitive pieces of the screen are, for the most part, large, making them simpler to change while driving. Likewise, the large and thick reverse and drive mode switches are fulfilling.

In the back seat, there is a decent space that can fit two passengers or three, according to the seating option chosen by the client. Inside the cubby luggage are helpful door pockets and a container behind the floating-place stack. The Lamborghini Urus offers up to 622 liters in it’s cargo area; however, that drops by 56 liters with the optional rear bucket seats.

Lamborghini Urus: Infotainment and Technology

The Urus is equipped with the latest technologies and features in the market. There are three primary screens with sharp, clear graphics, a fully digital information gauge cluster and the main touch screen is split into two screens mounted in the center of the vehicle that allows you to control the climate, audio systems, etc. There is also a voice command that will respond in your desired language; you can also connect your mobile phone with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. Wireless charging, four USB ports are available and four 12-volt outlets are standard in the Lamborghini Urus. You will really appreciate the clarity and sound of the 21-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, which also comes standard in the Urus.

Lamborghini Urus: Price

As we have been saying, the Lamborghini Urus is not like any normal SUV. You can get luxury SUVs in the market, but only a few would combine super-car performance, Luxury and spacious space, while the Urus does that with glam. All that must come with a heavy price, where the Lamborghini Urus would cost a quarter of a million; that being said, the Urus is the most affordable Lamborghini you might get among its other sisters: the Aventador and the Huracan.

If you are looking to buy a Lamborghini Urus in the UAE, you should keep in mind that the prices might change according to the trim and the kits added. This Lamborghini price in UAE would start from AED 997,500.
