The World Series of Poker Europe edition is back! The WSOP showcases the best, sure, but unless they can afford a pricey flight, you’re seeing the best in America. There’s a whole world out there of amazing poker players you haven’t seen. Some of them haven’t made their big splash yet and are ready to surprise poker fans; some are veteran players who are here to show the rookies how it’s done. This is what makes the WSOP so special: the potent mix of experienced professionals and passionate amateurs. It’s unlike most sports in the world, with esports titles the only sport taking on this style of competition.
Whether you’re looking to play or watch, you can find all the details on the ggpoker.co.uk website, but in the meantime, we’re going to give you a rundown of all the biggest things to look out for at the WSOP Europe 2022.
What Is The Schedule For WSOP?
Players from around the world are flocking to the Czech Republic to reach the poker tables in the King’s Resort in Rozvadov for the WSOP European Circuit. There are 15 WSOP gold rings and over €3 million in guaranteed winnings up for grabs over a mixed bag of events that have been going on since the start of January. The final game will be played on January 23rd, including the main event, which has a guaranteed prize of €1 million!
This circuit has absolutely every variation of poker you can think of. There’s the Fiftystack, Bounty Hunter, Omaha, Monsterstack, Ladies events, 5 and 7-card stud and more.
What Are The Biggest Moments So Far?
The WSOP Europe Circuit got off to a great start with the €350 Opener. Nine poker players went in for €350, but only one came out with a whopping €77,570 and the coveted WSOP bracelet.
That player was Italian player Antonello Ferraiuolo, who not only took the cash prize and WSOP bracelet but a seat at the Main Event on January 23rd. He had a strong opening to the tournament, sitting on high chip counts. But by the end, he was trying to make moves to stay relevant. But he brought it back and went on to earn his place at the main event.
Just a day or two later, word got around of the Mini Main Event winner, Switzerland’s own Emil Bise.
The poker player beat out 1,397 entries to the competition to claim the top spot and earned €250,175 for his skill and determination, as well, of course, as the WSOP bracelet.
“It’s beautiful, it’s a beautiful feeling, and I am very happy,” Bise said, winner three years prior to the WSOP Circuit Main Event.
It seems his journey at the WSOPE isn’t over since he said he intends to match his previous victory by winning the main event. Look out for him at the table on January 23rd, then.
