PRANA's Sale Gets Cut Again With Code ACTIVE50X Untill 30 Sep

prAna makes outdoor and yoga clothing with a sustainability angle. Hemp, organic cotton, pieces cut for hiking and travel rather than the gym floor. The prices follow from that, around $98 for pants and $128 for a top.

So how does prAna discount? In layers. First, a permanent sale section that never quite empties, where cuts run anywhere from a quarter off to two thirds. Then seasonal promotions on top of that, all year round. Finally ACTIVE50X sits above the lot at 15%, and it covers full-price and sale stock alike.

The code expires September 30, 2026. After that, prAna keeps the sale prices where they are, but you lose the second cut. Also, no code works backwards once you’ve placed an order.

In other words, prAna cuts a price and then the code cuts it again. Take a top that listed at $128. It sits at $51.20 on the rack now, and the code drops it to $43.52.

Before writing this I ran a Three Falls Hooded Sweater through checkout. It listed at $98.00 and came out at $83.30 once ACTIVE50X went on, so $14.70 off. Shipping showed free, tax came to nothing, and the order went through as a guest because prAna never asked me to sign in.

How the 15% Is Calculated

Off the sale price, not the original. That trips people up, because the page still prints the bigger number right beside it.

Take that $128 top again. prAna marks it at $51.20, so the code works on $51.20 and takes $7.68. Not $19.20, which is what 15% of the list price would give you. Either way, you land at $43.52.

The same rule holds everywhere else. For example, a $19.00 piece drops $2.85, while a $78.00 pair of pants drops $11.70.

One more thing about where the saving shows up, because prAna handles this differently to most shops. It doesn’t add a separate discount row. Instead, the reduction lands straight on the item line, so my sweater simply read $83.30 with $98.00 struck through beside it. The subtotal already had the code in it. So don’t go hunting for an order discount line further down, since there isn’t one.

You’ll find the field in the Order Summary, where prAna groups promo codes and ID.me discounts together, with Apply next to it.

How Deep the Second Cut Goes

Because the markdowns aren’t uniform, the same 15% behaves differently depending where you aim it.

RegularSale priceWith ACTIVE50XOff list
$64.00$48.00$40.8036%
$104.00$78.00$66.3036%
$98.00$73.50$62.4836%
$38.00$19.00$16.1558%
$128.00$51.20$43.5266%

Three of those land on 36%. That’s because all three started life as 25% markdowns.

Still, the bottom two rows are what I’d go looking for. prAna had already done most of the cutting there, so the 15% comes off a number that was small to begin with. In fact, $16.15 for something that opened at $38 is about as far as this gets.

Sort by Discount First

Browse by category and you get a wall of pieces at completely different depths. Sort by discount instead and the 50 and 60% cuts rise to the top, which is where the second reduction earns its keep. Full-price stock qualifies too, though the code does less there.

What Blocks It

prAna’s terms say offers don’t apply to anyone logged into a prAna Pro, ID.me or ExpertVoice account. Those are the pro deal and verification schemes. So if you stay signed in, prAna refuses the code and explains nothing. Sign out first, then try again, before you decide it’s dead.

If you do hold pro pricing, check whether it already beats 15% on the thing you want;
