In urban conditions, it may be due to the location of the premises, its design features, wall materials, floors, the presence of various kinds of external barriers to the passage of radio waves well, and of course the proximity of base stations. For example, problems with the connection are most often observed in basements and semi-basements, in underground garages and parking lots, on the first and last floors of high-rise buildings, and in rooms surrounded by tall buildings, which obstruct the passage of radio waves from the nearest tower, in apartments and houses with thick concrete walls, as well as roofs of metal tile. All these factors interfere with the propagation of radio waves in rooms and buildings, which causes problems with both voice communication (breaks, no calls, bad hearing, “metallic voice”, etc.) and mobile Internet (breaks sessions, low speed of receiving and transmitting data, etc.).

In rural areas, as well as at sites of great distance from base stations (manufacturing, warehouses, gas stations between cities, etc.) the main reasons for poor voice communications and mobile Internet are long distances to transmission towers, terrain, natural obstacles in the form of dense forests, construction, and materials of which the buildings are built, etc. In such circumstances, the internal antennas of phones, 3G/4G modems, and routers are not able to catch the weak signal, which leads to interruptions, poor hearing, and low-speed mobile Internet, or the total absence of any signal or cellular network.
